We are dedicated to making a meaningful difference and a positive impact on society.
Our employees are our greatest asset, and their engagement is crucial to our success. Participating in charitable events provides meaningful opportunities for our team members to collaborate, bond, and make a difference together. This, in turn, boosts morale, job satisfaction, and a sense of purpose.
It also instills a culture of giving and compassion within our Company, encouraging employees to think beyond their individual roles and consider how they can contribute to the well-being of others.
In May last year, we asked employees to nominate a charity partner that VIPR would support through various fundraising initiatives. Nominations were gathered from employees, and the charity that received the most nominations was Cancer Research UK. This is an initiative that our CEO, Paul Templar, feels passionately about and is proud that VIPR employees are willing to invest their time, dedication, and support to benefit others. “I believe that as a business we can make a positive impact on those who are in need. By supporting our chosen charity and the subsequent fundraising initiatives, we can show our commitment to giving something back and making a positive impact,” Paul Templar, CEO.
In partnership with Birchin Court, we held an Office Bake Sale in October 2023. Employees from VIPR baked a range of sweet and savory treats that were enjoyed by all and raised over £220 for Cancer Research UK.
In June 2024, a team of VIPR walkers took on the National 3 Peaks Challenge, conquering Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon. They climbed over 2,900 meters of elevation and covered more than 30km, raising an incredible £1,325 (as of 01/07/2024) for Cancer Research UK.
Additionally, November saw the team take on three separate charitable fundraising initiatives: Movember, supporting men’s health, suicide prevention, prostate, and testicular cancer; the 100 Squats a Day Challenge and the 100 Push-ups a Day Challenge, both in support of Cancer Research UK.
At VIPR, we are committed to the health and well-being of our employees. Our initiatives include health and wellness newsletters, access to discounted gym memberships, access to a trained mental health first aider, and wellness challenges. We provide opportunities for continuous learning, skills training, and career advancement, and while some teams are fully remote, most employees work on a hybrid model to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
From our hiring practices, we promote diversity and inclusion where CVs we receive are anonymous and conduct annual anonymous diversity monitoring surveys. In addition, we are members of the Tech Talent Charter. These approaches foster an inclusive, non-judgmental environment where everyone can be themselves, and every voice and opinion is valued.
Our environmental efforts include implementing recycling programs in our office at Birchin Court and conducting the majority of our calls on Teams or within walking distance of customers' offices to help manage our carbon footprint.
“VIPR’s commitment to CSR is not just about fulfilling our corporate responsibilities but about creating a culture where our employees feel valued and motivated to contribute to the greater good. It’s inspiring to see how our initiatives bring our team together and make a real impact,” says Jo Hayes, Head of People.
As we continue to grow globally, our commitment to CSR remains steadfast. We are dedicated to supporting charitable causes, promoting employee well-being, fostering diversity and inclusion, and protecting the environment. We look forward to furthering our impact and making a positive difference in the communities we serve.
